I always curl my hair with straighteners which is fine,it works, only thing is it is really damaging my hair..
All i want is natural looking waves/curls.
I dont own any hair rollers,
And i have used mousse and spray in the past which works at first but as the day goes on it drops out and then my hair just looks greasy from the mousse and hairspray!
My friend always sleeps with her hair in a bun which apparently works, I was just wondering if you had any other ideas or tips on how to get Wavy/curly looking hair?
By the way my hair is shoulder length with a fringe =]Whats the best way to make your Wavy/Curly?
the best way, actually.
might be to get a perm.
i have one right now, and i love it.
of course, you have to find a good place
to get one,s o you might want to ask around where you live.
it might be very curly at first, but don't worry
the curls loosen up a few days later
just sleep on it wet, and when you wake up it looks
so amazing. i have gotten so many compliments on my hair.
hope this helped =)

Questions on rag rollers?
im desperate to curl my thick straight hair and nake it look natural, so im turing to rag rolers.
i know that they could be made with a bed sheet and that stuff, but-
~how long should the rags be?
~how wide should the rags be?
~how do you use them? (ive read that you roll your hair onto the rags, but HOW?!?!)
~i wanna sleep with them in, so after i wash my hair, should iput in mousse or hair spray?
~do i Have to wash my hair before i use the rag rollers?
if not, what do i do then?
thanks for all the help :)Questions on rag rollers?
I just did this last night, the rags should be about 8 inches, they need to be 1-2 inches wide. What i did was i placed a pen on the rag, and wound my hair around it...then, at the top with the pen still in it i tied a tight knot. I slid the pen out, and wallah! theres one for ya. The best thing is to NOT wash your hair before, as it'll make the curls more loose. put in hairspray as you don't need to touch your hair to put it in. Hope this helps!

Hair Extensions question?
I am getting hair extensions for christmas i was just wondering if you can:
* Curl it (with a curling iron, not rollers)
* wash them with any ordianry shampoo and conditioner
* brush it with an ordinary brush
* Can you put your hair up or do you have to keep it down ( Ponytail, Plats)
And how many times can you wear them before you wash them?.
Thanks heapsHair Extensions question?
If its real hair then you can do anythin with them just make sure your not rough on the brushin as you dont want to lose half the hair in the brush. if it is not real hair then do not touch them with curlers straighteners etc they will singe straight away....
if you want to curl un real hair then put in curlers spray wiv hairspray and leave for a whiile, this should result in curled hair.Hair Extensions question?
dun think so~
but little wash maybe can
with natural 100% human hair extensions; you can do anything you do normally with your real hair, you can do to the extensions.
but id be careful doing it because its not your real hair.
if its fake hair extensions, then you should look up on how to take care of those cuz that is a bit different.
I use clip in human hair on the wkends and i straighten them and curl them.
U cannot use any kind of heat product on synthetic hair ...it melts and goes all wirey ( ive experianced this problem ...oops)
I would recommend human hair and then you can, wash, dry, tong and straighten it.
U can put in any kind of style u want.
I wear mine around 15 times then i wash with my regular shampoo.
U can buy shampoo especially for them but it makes no difference really.
Hope that helps

Bad at curling hair?
hey guys. i love my hair but it is so flat. i think the front will look great and then i use a mirror to see the back of it and it's sooo flat.
i'm tired of it looking so-so. i use hot rollers because i don't have patience for any other methods. i know you're supposed to use a round brush to give your hair body.
i just want hair with body!! i was thinking of getting a wave perm again like i used to as a kid? i guess i just want more style. i love the hair cut and color and the shine but it's just FLAT.
any suggestions or links on how to do your own hair - you know, just giving it body and a lift - would be appreciated.
and i've had good luck with at home coloring ( i don't do highlights at home though; just all over color)

check at local salon and buy a good gel. Bain de tere flax seed gel my favorite. put dime size in palms and work into the root of hair, turn head upside down and blow dry on low just at the root while lifting with your fingers in a up and out motion. as hair drys move fingers out to ends. to get alittle curl also scrunch (basicly wad it up) be sure to get it at the root all in the back of your head . this should help. If you have to go to walmart try tressama or jerhimakBad at curling hair?
just start at the bottom and curl it to the top. i know directions on packages stink so u gotta ask real ppl to get the answers, hold it for longer and it will look better. :)

Question about curler?
i want to curl my hair with those rollers your roll into you hair. How long do i have to keep it in? How do i get it to be loose curls?Question about curler?
Long curls came be made by lightly hairspraying the hair after the curlers are put in. don't spray it too much or else it'll make the hair stiff and unnatural. also, make the curls a little tigher than you wanted and then run your fingers through them to loosen them or let them loosen over a period of a few minutes.Question about curler?
If you are talking about heated rollers - about 5 minutes, and use the biggest rollers you can find for loose curls.
For the bendy rollers, you need to leave them in until hair dries. To make curls looser, try curling when hair is moslty dry already.
Wash your hair before bed.... then roll it up in the curlers and sleep on them all night and you will be good to go.blue hair view myspace

How do you style your hair like this? (Picture(s) inluded)?
I have a tough time curling my bangs mostly and getting them to stay like that. I know these are two different styles, so I'd like help with both (Which direction to curl, in or outward. How long to keep it in the curler. Rollers or irons. Large, medium, or small roller). Another thing, advice to achieve volume please?

Lucky me, my hair naturally does this- but i can easily tell you how to achieve it as well!
The first thing to learn- it that styling products are IMPORTANT! Try finding a 'curling cream'- I use one from Aveda, because I like the smell and softness of it, but test around until you find one you like. Rub this cream through your hair while its still wet. Next, get a medium to large sized barrel brush (its the cylidrical bristles brush) and use that to blowdry your hair, curling it INWARDS. If you feel like you want the curls to be tighter, then get a large- barreled curling iron, and curl the hair inwards (When you curl with an iron, make sure to hairspray a section of hair first, then immediatley wrap it around the curling iron, and twist the iron and inch towards the top- this is because hair does not grow straight out of the top of your head)
Always finish with hairspraying your hair to keep it in place

You don't, you hire someone to do it for you.
You honestly think she styled her own hair?
put some mousse in your hair after u get outa the shower-blow dry on low until completely dry, take a medium barrel curling iron and curl outwards for about fifteen seconds once completely heated. finish it off with some volume and lift, superhold hairspray and spray all over for a nice, even coat. shake your a head it a bit and ur ready to go!!
good luck!!
blow dry on low and use a big round brush

It really depends on how much hair you have... Use hot rollers, they give you a nice bouncy but not frizzy texture (and being someone who suffers with major frizz, I know for sure). The best way to get her look is gather 1-2 in sections of your hair. Rollers that come in different sizes are the best, but you can still pull it off with one size.
If you have different size rollers- first take the small ones and curl the hair closest to your part.
Then- once you have used up all of your small rollers begin using your medium sized ones (they can overlap because with bouncy curls you will never know- it is justbest to have the tighter curls on top).
Lastly around the bottom of your hair place in the larger ones- if you have a lot of hair, you can get away with using larger sections of it on these.
Once your rollers are in, wait about 15-20 min or until the last rollers you placed at the bottom of your scalp are cool to the touch.
Take the rollers out and gently comb through your hair with your fingers, not a comb. If you comb too much the curls will separate and become a frizzy mess, just a bit will do.
Then spray your new do with a bit of hairspray and rock the sharpay look!
Goodluck, and I hope this helps :D
