Help with curling hair. or wavy hair for special occasion?

I have naturally strawberry blonde hair that is naturally very straight. Everytime I try to curl it with a curling iron it doesnt work at all and if I go to brush it it goes back to normally straight and you cant tell I touched a curling iron at all. I love my hair but sometimes especially for special occasions i would like it to be wavy or curly. What is THE BEST BRAND of hot rollers THAT I CAN BUY AT WALMART OR RITEAID that is CHEAP? And how often should you use hot rollers to ensure that it never damages your hair.Help with curling hair. or wavy hair for special occasion?
Use rollers . Roll your hair when it is wet and let it dry or use a dryer. It will be awesome.
