(%26lt;^copy %26amp; paste the code if the code doesnt work..) (Singer of Danity Kane)(favorite band of all time!) Anyways, i want to get my hair permed like that. And yes i'm 12, turning 13 in March. Will the perm damage my hair? And along with it my mom's gonna hihglight my hair. My hair is dark brown and i want to have big streaks that are a few shades lighter than my hair and thin streaks(normal highlighting streaks) like a carmel-ish color.

*Will highlighting N0T at a salon make your hair stringy or bad looking?

*How long does a big- roller perm (like Aubrey's) last for?

*How long will the highlights I'm getting last for?

*Do you think it'll look good?

Sorry for the many questions! =SHighlighting?
it depends on your face shape. and skin color. Hilights make your hair very dry, so u gotta use moisturizing hair products. And about the perm................perms will always damage, no matter how good it looks. Think of it this way: pizza tastes great, and almost everyone likes it. But is it good for you? uhhhhhhhhh....maybe in heaven. But it's your choice. It's not like its gonna make u bald. Go ahead and try it, and see what u think. I'm 12 too, but my mom is one of those people who think that God created us like this, and we shouldn't try to change anything, so I'm not allowed to get a perm, but for my b-day in January, she might make an exeption and let me get it permanently straightened............ yah, anyways, good luck!!!!! hope it turns out great and everyone compliments you!!!!!!!!Highlighting?
the highlighters will last till they grow out of your hair.

no highlighting not at a salon will not make your hair look bad.

and yes highliting that color will make it look great!!

permenet hair color and highlits will damage your hair you might want to get it for just a while to see how you like it.

good luck!!
Unfortunately anything you do with your hair is damaging. However, as I have greasy hair, I have found both perms and highlights helpful in that way!

Something you must bear in mind when you perm your hair, depending on your hair length, the longer your hair, the tighter the curl. The reason for that is, if you have short hair, you don't have as much weight, but with long hair, if you have your hair permed with too big a roller, the weight of the hair will actually pull the curls out. If you have your perm done at a salon, they would best be able to advise you on what size roller to use. Show them the picture you are after.

As far as how long will it last, it all depends on how tight the perm is. The looser the perm (ie the bigger the roller), the shorter it will last.

Highlights are permanent, as it bleaches the colour out of your hair, so they will basically last until they grow out. With short hair it is fine, because if you get sick of them, it shouldn't take too long to grow them out, with long hair, it takes that much longer. With highlights, what you can do, is touch up the roots, or you can start making the colour a little darker, by using a permanent die, but you need to be careful, because the highlighted area reacts differently to your unhighlighted area.....

Best of luck on your decision....
