The best way to use velcro rollers is when you get out of the shower,
1. Towel dry your hair
2. Run some moose through your hair with fingers
3. Role up your hair will rollers than pin them
4. Either sit and let dry or blow dry (blow drying is better though)
5. Take out rollers and run fingers through hair with a little bit more moose, just kinda tassle with it...
And that should pretty much be it!
Hopefully that helps you and they're guaranteed to NOT be granny curls. I know exactly how you feel about that! How do you curl your hair with velcro rollers.?
you're so welcome, tell me how you like it!

Sorry I don't know what granny curls and pretty curls are. To curl your hair with velcro curlers roll your hair up. The end.
Ok- this is what you need to do. If you don't want to look like a granny, you need to use larger rollers. The size you get will depend on the length of your hair - the hair needs to get all the way around the roller at least once. If your hair is longer, I recommend the red or purple ones - even the teal ones look nice. Alo, if your hair doesn't hold a curl very well, you're better off starting with a tighter curl, and it'll fall into a more desirable curl soon after.
You'll want to get some clips - there are several kind that will work. I love what cosmetologists call hide-away clips (they slide totally inside of the roller to keep them out of the way). They are small metal clips. Also, you can get regular metal roller clips (two prong). Or you can get large plastic clips that go over the whole roller, although it will be hard to find the right size if you're using really large rollers.
Ok...here goes:
You can either roll your hair up wet or after it's dry with a thermal spray %26amp;/or hairspray. If you're rolling your hair wet, this is how:
- toweldry hair really well. Apply any styling product you choose - a mouse or gel with med. hold is your best bet.
- part your hair into small sections - as long and as wide as the roller you're using. start in between your eyebrows working straight back.
- comb through this piece of hair right before you roll it - put roller up to hair about mid strand and comb it through hair until you get to the end of your hair.
- roll the roller down to your scalp and clip into place.
- repeat until all your hair is rolled (you may choose to roll the sides down or towards the back, depending on the look you are going for).
If you choose to roll it up dry:
- make sure you hair is completely dry.
-part your hair off as above, but before you roll the hair, spray both sides with a thermal protection spray with some hold, or your favorite hairspray.
In both cases, be sure your hair is completely dry when you take the rollers down. Starting dry will be much quicker - wet hair can be sped up with a blowdrier. After taking out rollers, run your fingers through the style, and apply any pomade or additional hairspray as needed.
Good luck!
